Inside the studio preview
One painting.
Still becoming.
A collection without a final edge. Each new edition carries paint from the last into something of its own.

01 / The connection
The edge is
not the end.
A gesture can leave one canvas and arrive in the next. Color, white revisions, graphite sketches, and paint flecks can travel across that boundary too.
Each new edition reads the previous edition’s seed to reconstruct those shared marks. It develops its own composition around them. Sometimes the connection is sweeping; sometimes it is something to discover up close.
Later editions never repaint earlier ones. Each painting stands alone while the sequence keeps growing.

02 / The surface
Black builds.
White cuts back.
The studies take their cue from Franz Kline’s painted gestures: weight, movement, and the tension between a dark structure and the space around it.
Graphite proposes a structure. Whitewash partially buries it. Black paint follows some ideas and leaves others behind. A loaded brush can become a broken drag; a flick lands as a group of uneven droplets.
The paintings are drawn from code, not picked from a library of finished images. Open an edition to magnify the surface, watch its marks arrive, explore its attributes, or download a PNG.
03 / The seed
A new beginning.
A shared history.
This preview combines a fixed test wallet, the edition number, the prior edition’s seed, and a timestamp to create each new seed.
The same inputs recreate the same painting. A fresh timestamp makes a reset sequence different, even when it begins again at Edition #1.

A new seed. The next painting.
This is the browser preview’s seed formula. It uses no Ethereum block data and submits no transactions.
04 / Try the work
Your own
temporary collection.
Make a few paintings, look at their joins, and start over. This preview is a place to explore the art before a public collection launches.
- Free, with no wallet
- “Mint” creates a painting in your browser. It does not create an NFT, ask for a wallet, or cost anything.
- Saved on this device
- Your preview sequence stays in this browser. It is not a shared public collection, and other testers have their own sequences.
- Reset to zero
- Reset clears this browser’s preview paintings and starts a fresh sequence. Download anything you want to keep before resetting.
- On-chain, later
- The planned collection will use ERC-721 tokens with the rendering code and seeds stored on-chain. This test site runs the generative code in the browser; no public contract has been deployed for it.
A little closer
Things to try.
Where should I start?
Mint two or three editions and look at the shared edges. Move over a painting to magnify its surface. Open one using the corner arrow, then choose “Watch it painted” to step through its layers or drag the timeline.
What happens when I reload the page?
The site restores your preview sequence from this browser’s storage. Clearing site data, using another browser, or choosing Reset starts a new one. Private browsing may discard your sequence when you close it.
Will a later edition change an earlier painting?
No. The next edition reconstructs the previous painting’s outgoing marks from its seed. That continuity moves forward; it never changes a painting you already generated.
What feedback is useful?
Look for joins that feel disconnected, painting details that feel unnatural, or controls that are confusing. If you find something, save the PNG or copy its seed from the edition popup so the painting can be identified.
